Who is VOLTEDGE?

Voltedge Digital Infrastructure Inc. is a Canadian company that designs, builds and operates sovereign data centres. No foreign parent and no third- party operator sit between the facility and the clients it serves.

What does "sovereign compute" mean?

Data storage and computing controlled entirely by a Canadian company, operated by Canadian staff, on Canadian soil. That structure keeps data outside the reach of foreign laws such as the US CLOUD Act, which allows American authorities to compel a US-headquartered company to hand over data even when it is stored outside the United States.

Is this an AI data centre?

Not primarily. The focus is secure storage and computing for public-sector and regulated workloads. AI capacity will be added later, in separately controlled environments, once the cooling method has been proven under load.

How is the facility cooled?

It uses a patent-pending, water-based cooling method. Heat from the servers is transferred through heat exchangers, and the water is returned at the same volume it was drawn. Nothing is evaporated and no water is consumed.

Does it use drinking water?

No. The system draws no potable water and has no connection to a municipal water supply.

Data centres use enormous amounts of water elsewhere. Why is this different?

Most data centres rely on evaporative cooling, which consumes municipal water to reject heat. Our method is non-consumptive. The water that cools the facility is returned, not lost.

What technology is used in the facilities?

Our facilities use high-density, high-performance computing infrastructure designed for secure, reliable operations. The cooling method is patent pending and built around a non-consumptive, water-based system.

Is the cooling technology patented?

The cooling method is patent pending. No patent has been granted, and nothing here should be read as a claim of granted or enforceable patent rights.

When will AI capacity be available?

AI capacity will be introduced in future phases, in separately controlled environments, after the cooling method has been proven under load and client demand is confirmed.

How is data kept secure?

Data is stored and processed on Canadian soil, in facilities operated by Canadian staff, under Canadian law. Physical, cyber and operational security are designed to meet high standards required for public-sector and regulated clients.

Who operates the facilities?

All facilities are owned and operated by VOLTEDGE. No foreign parent and no third-party operator sit between the facility and the clients it serves.

How does Canadian control protect against foreign laws like the US CLOUD Act?

Because the facilities are owned and operated by a Canadian company, subject to Canadian law, client data remains outside the reach of foreign laws such as the US CLOUD Act, which allows American authorities to compel a US-headquartered company to hand over data even when it is stored outside the United States.

05_Community_and_Workforce.jpg

Will this create local jobs?

Yes. Our facilities create skilled, long-term jobs in operations, maintenance and support services. We prioritize local hiring and work with regional partners.

What kind of jobs will be available?

Jobs include facility operations, electrical and mechanical maintenance, IT and cybersecurity, site security, environmental monitoring, and professional and administrative roles.

How does VOLTEDGE support the local community?

We work with local governments, Indigenous communities and regional partners to create economic opportunities, support local suppliers and minimize our environmental impact.

06_Process_and_Conduct.jpg

Where are the facilities located?

Our first facility is in Ontario, Canada. We evaluate sites based on access to power, connectivity, water and skilled labour, while minimizing community impact.

What approvals are required?

Each project is subject to environmental assessments, municipal zoning, building permits, power interconnection and other regulatory approvals.
